sp3 Diamond Technologies is focused on the development of diamond deposition techniques using CVD and dc torch reactors, and the application of diamond coatings and free-standing diamond to a broad range of industrial uses. Examples include custom cutting tools, dresser bars, heat spreaders, and silicon wafers up to 300mm diameter.

sp3 also supplies hot-filament CVD reactors for research and production applications.

Free-standing diamond industrial products

sp3 manufactures heat spreaders for thermal management of electronic components and dresser bars (grinding logs) for dressing abrasive materials. Click on pictures for more information.
   

Diamond-on silicon

Using hot-filament CVD deposition, sp3 applies highly uniform diamond films to silicon wafers and other silicon substrates. Click on picture for details on wafer deposition.

CVD Hot-Filament Reactors

sp3 supplies complete production and R&D systems capable of depositing uniform diamond films on surfaces up to 350mm x 375mm. Click on pictures for more information.

Model 250—a low-cost reactor designed for universities to develop their own deposition processes.

Custom diamond services

Services offered by sp3 Diamond Technologies include:
  Toll coating of carbide flat and round cutting tools. See Custom Coating Overview.
  DiaTip™ toll tipping of tools with free-standing diamond. Tips are laser-cut, vacuum brazed in position and laser-trimmed to the customer's specification for subsequent grinding by the customer. See DiaTipped tools.
